On the Designer 9.0 installation CD-ROM you'll find
The Autorun application automatically starts the Installation Wizard after you insert the Designer CD-ROM. If this does not happen, you can manually start the installation. To install Designer from Windows Explorer, go to the drive that has the CD-ROM and choose Setup.exe.
Note: If you get a message that the installer package cannot be installed because you need a newer version of the Windows Installer service, choose instmsi.exe for Windows 98 or instmsiw.exe for Windows NT to run the MSI installation program, then run Setup.exe again to install Designer.
During the installation you can select the installation type. A Typical installation of Designer installs the application and most features, including import and export filters, fills, help, and online documentation. To install other features, such as clip art, select a Complete or Custom installation.
Note: The language for the installer will match the language of the operating system (for English, French, German, or Japanese) no matter which language version of Designer you are installing. You can change the regional settings before beginning the installation. To do this, go to Windows Control Panel, open Regional Settings (Regional Options in Windows 2000), and select the language you want to use for the installer.
To view the PDF files you need Acrobat Reader 3.0 or later. To install Acrobat Reader from the Designer CD-ROM, go to the DOCS folder and double-click the Acrobat Reader installation file (ar405eng.exe).
For help while you are using Designer, click Help on the menu bar, the Standard toolbar, or on a dialog box. To access online documentation, click the Start button, point to Programs, then point to Micrografx.
